Passover Appeal

Dear Friend,

The Passover (Pesach) Seder begins with the words, "All who are hungry come and eat; all in need come and join the Pesach ritual."

We cannot start the Seder until these words are said. This invitation sets the tone for the entire holiday. As a community we carry this important responsibility and holy task. We must ensure that the material and spiritual needs of our dear brothers and sisters are always provided for.

The Chabad Jewish Center is dedicated to the welfare of the Jewish community of the Needham area every day of the year. We accept all Jews regardless of their background or affiliation and we are committed to helping every Jew materially as well as spiritually.

During these pre-Pesach days Chabad mailed out thousands of guides to help people prepare for and observe Pesach. We are also distributing hand-made Shmura Matzah and Holiday necessities.

At the Seder we read of four sons: the wise, the wicked, the simple and the son who does not know how to ask. The Lubavitcher Rebbe suggests that we must also remember the "fifth son" - the Jewish child who does not even show up for the Seder because of indifference, ignorance or assimilation. To this end we welcome any Jew who would like to join our seder for no cost at all! By donating to our Pesach fund you will also help us alleviate the "fifth son syndrome"

Making a donation of Maos Chitim (Pesach funds for the needy) is one of the most significant and appropriate Mitzvos one can observe in preparation for this monumental holiday.

Share in the pride of knowing you helped touch the lives of others, whether it is physically, emotionally, or spiritually. Your donation will make a difference!

Make your donation either online by clicking here or by sending a check (you can use the envelope in the Passover guide).

Thank you very much for your support.

May you and your family have a Kosher and joyous Pesach!

Rabbi Mendy Krinsky

P.S. If you or someone you know needs Matzah, any other Pesach related items or a place for the Seder please let us know as soon as possible.
